The Department of Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) at GNIT was established in 2008. The department offers B.Tech (180 intake) and M.Tech (18 intake) programs, supported by a team of highly qualified faculty members.

The department is committed to delivering quality technical and research-oriented education, fostering innovation, confidence, and entrepreneurial skills among students. With strong industry–institute interaction, modern laboratories, and continuous academic improvement, CSE prepares students to meet global technological challenges.

Students actively participate in national and international events, and many are successfully placed in reputed organizations. The department is NBA accredited.

GNIT HACKER RANK CLUB

The Hacker Rank Club is a student-driven technical community dedicated to nurturing a strong culture of coding, problem-solving, and competitive programming among students. The club serves as a collaborative platform where learners can enhance their programming skills through hands-on practice, real-world problem solving, and continuous learning.

The club regularly organizes coding contests, workshops, hackathons, technical quizzes, code-debugging sessions, and peer learning activities to help students strengthen their logical thinking and analytical abilities. These activities are designed to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and industry expectations, enabling students to gain practical exposure to modern tools and technologies.
